Job Description

The incumbent will carry out a precise edging, be autonomous, with team work abilities and good organizational skills.  He will act as a polyvalent edging-mounting technician.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out the marking and verification of lenses;
• Carry out lenses’ edging and assembling the lenses in the frame; final checkout and inspection, respecting quality standards
• Carry out special edging for small frames;
• Knowledge of all duties and production stages of edging and mounting; Calibrate machines;
• Polyvalence for all positions including final control and for replacement of others during vacations;
• Drill and mount an asset
• Evaluate the best position of the bevel in conformity with the strengths and curvature of the lenses so as to provide an esthetical result which will be a quality reference for the laboratory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education

High School diploma

Optician diploma an asset

• Work Experience

One (1) - Two (2) years’ experience in an edging position

• Knowledge
• Type of lenses, type of bevels, frames
