Job Description

Centennial Optical, a leading distributor of designer ophthalmic frames, name brand sunglasses, lenses and contact lenses, is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to work in our fast-paced lab facility.

You will be responsible for all aspects of lab tasks, including, lens layout, frame tracing, blocking lenses, operating computerized edgers, mounting and inserting Lenses into frames, checking completed jobs against work orders and performing bench alignments.  Attention to detail with all measurements, calculations, equipment settings and defective product is a must.  Ensure every work order has been completed according to the specifications outlined in the customer order by conducting a final inspection.  Provide assistance to Lab team with technical questions and resolve problems and/or issues relating to job orders in process, etc.   Make recommendations for problem resolution.  May be asked to assist in the distribution area from time to time.
